William H. “Bill” King, Sr., 83, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was the husband of the late Lorraine P. (Doucette) King and the companion of Marilyn Gustafson of Bridgewater. Now retired, he was employed by the Fall River Housing Authority. He was a President of the Fall River Housing Joint Tenant Council and a chairman of the Mass. Union of Public Housing Tenants. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his companion of 32 years, he leaves two daughters, Darlene Craveiro of CO and Donna Peoples and her companion Steve Lafrance of Bridgewater, a stepdaughter, Heidi Gustafson; cousins Carol and Dave Watson of CO; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, and many nieces.
He was the father of the late Deborah Arruda and William King, Jr., the brother of the late Joan Sowa and son of the late John and Rachel (Ginther) King.
His funeral service will be held Monday at 12:00 noon at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St.,Fall River. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday prior to his service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
