Mass Union of Public Housing Tenants Policy Board announces the 2016. Annual Spring Convention April 29 – May1, 2016

 

The Mass Union of Public Housing Tenants Policy Board and Staff would like to announce that we are hosting 2016. Annual Spring Convention. The convention dates are April 29 – May1, 2016. Invited guest speakers representing the Department of Housing and Community Development, US Housing and Urban Development, the Massachusetts General Court, Mass NAHRO and the United States Congress will be attending the convention. Our 2016 Spring Convention Agenda will include discussions regarding changing state public housing authority management. A discussion will be held about US HUD budget cuts, Updates on the new State Public Housing Law and Resident Supportive Services Programs proposals.

The Convention will be hosted at the Hotel 1620 formerly (the Radisson Hotel Plymouth, Harbor), 180 Water Street, Plymouth, MA 02360. Phone number 508-747-4900.

NOW is the time to start planning for the Spring Convention.  Schedule your request for funding with your Local Housing Authority (LHA), or plan a fund raising event to help cover the cost of the convention.  Affiliation dues must be paid 30 days prior to the convention in order to vote.

Registration forms must be return no later than April 11th, 2016.

The cost for Saturday only includes three meals with coffee breaks and training materials.  The cost for all overnight lodging will include 5 meals with coffee breaks, Saturday night Awards Banquet plus all training and materials.

Please note:  You will be responsible for your meal on Friday evening.  Parents bringing children to the conference must add $120.00 to their fee to cover the cost of meals.  Hotel check in time will be Friday, April 29, 2016 after 3:00 pm.  Check out time will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 11:00 am.
